About Me
Hi! My name is Maricela and I'm a mother of three and the heart behind this small, handmade business. With over 20 years of sewing experience, what began as a simple hobby has grown into a true passion. I've recently expanded my business to include hand-poured candles, thoughtfully crafted using phthalate-free fragrances and free from harmful dyes. Every item is thoughtfully crafted —from stitched pieces made with care to candles poured with intention.
A mix of new inspiration and reimagined materials — all made by hand and made with love <3
I was born in Mexico the oldest of seven and I moved to the United States as a child.
My journey with sewing began when I took a sewing class in 7th grade, learning basic sewing techniques. I have now been sewing for about forty three years. I learned from my mother as well and I would make dresses for my siblings.
I am a mother of three kids now grown in their 20's! When my kids were younger I would make baby headbands, bows, and just sew things around the house. I tried my best to balance being a mother and I also sold hair bows online starting 11 years ago.
A few years ago I started making scrunchies because my hair was thinning and I couldn't find one that worked for me. Eventually, I got the idea to start sewing a variety of things for a business. I've made a variety of products, such as scrunchies, book sleeves, makeup bags, book marks etc. i've done about three markets since and have sold a few things in person. I love sewing and I enjoy learning things and practicing new techniques with sewing and life.

I also really love candles and discovered soy candles. I wanted to learn about healthy alternatives for candles- a way to make them natural and dye-free- so I started learning about soy candles. I practiced candle making for a few months going through trial and error. Learning what wick works with what candle size, the correct amount of fragrance to add, and a few other things! Now, I sell my candles with different container colors as well as wax melts. No dyes, phthalate free fragrance, and natural soy wax.

Overall, through the years with my experience in creating things, I have grown to have a unique passion for it. Having this shop is an opportunity for me to continue doing what I have always loved. I am grateful for your support, thank you for taking the time to check out my creations and getting to know me.
